Book Reports\Projects
I hate doing book projects. Am I the only one? Like, seriously, what is importance of them? Is it to show that we read? Because, if it is, all you have to do is look in my hands to see one of the books I'm currently reading.
In my opinion, it makes reading less enjoyable. You get pressured to finish the book by a certain time, and then you are forced to do a project on it instead of contemplate and savour the messages and ending. You can't just close the book when you've finished and re-read time after time; oh no, you must write a summary, go through the effort of making an excellent project, and then present it to the class.
And don't get me started on the presentations. Phew, those things suck. Firstly, you have to stand in front of all your classmates. Secondly, there's always that feeling that they're being bored to death by the rambling summary. Thirdly, they get to compare your project to all the others, which is really nerve-wracking when you're as terrible an artist as me. Fourth, you get graded on the presentation, which I find kinda unfair. Like, some people are more confident and prepared than others.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, book projects, in my opinion, are stressful, unnecessary, and just all-around not enjoyable.
